One Ticket, Two Museums
The Mütter Museum and the The Penn Museum offer a Dual Admission Ticket to visit both museums at a reduced rate. This offer is not valid for groups visits of 10 or more. Penn Card holders should purchase their Dual Admission Ticket in person at the Penn Museum.
Present this ticket when you arrive to The Mütter Museum and Penn Museum to gain access. Penn Museum admission tickets are valid up to six months from the date of purchase of this Dual Admission Ticket. Please check each museum’s website for the most up-to-date operating hours, holiday closures, and visitor guidelines.
The Penn Museum is open Wed - Mon from 10 am - 5 pm. All ticket sales are final. If you are unable to make your reserved date, Museum staff can assist you in rescheduling your visit within one year from purchase date. No refunds.

2. Mütter Museum Admission
Timed Admission
Please note the below to ensure a safe visit:
- Strollers are not permitted in the gallery spaces. There is limited space available in our coat room for storage. Please plan accordingly.
- Service animals are welcome inside the museum. Emotional support animals and pets are not permitted.
- Out of respect for the individuals in our collections, no photography or filming of any kind is permitted in the main Museum. However, you may take photos of the exhibits in our lobby area, Thomson Hall (located to the right of the marble staircase), and in the Benjamin Rush Medicinal Garden.
Advanced, timed ticket sales are required for guaranteed entry. All ticket sales are final and non-transferable. Tickets allow access to all Museum galleries, special exhibitions, and the Benjamin Rush Medicinal Garden.
Ticket Descriptions:
- Select Pre-issued Museum tickets if you have: Pre-paid Museum passes, complimentary Museum passes, or proof of a membership with a qualifying ROAM museum. This also includes guests with Joint Tickets from the Penn Museum or tickets purchased at the Independence Visitor Center. Passes must be presented upon check-in.
- Select Mütter Member Tickets: if you are a current member of the Museum. Members, you must show your digital or physical membership card upon check-in. To become a member click here!
- Select PA Access Card : if you have a valid Pennsylvania Access card. You must bring your matching photo ID with your PA Access Card to show when checking in. Valid for 4 individuals.
- Select Library Partner Pass : if you have checked out a Library Partner Pass from your library. You must bring your library's Partner Pass or print-out to present upon check-in. Valid for up to four individuals.
