The Public Health Day Symposium serves as the culminating event of National Public Health Week, offering a collaborative platform for academic, community, and government public health professionals to exchange insights on public health initiatives and advancements in the greater Philadelphia region.
This year’s theme is CHANGE, and we particularly encourage submissions addressing:
• Climate Change – prevention, mitigation, and resilience
• Changing Attitudes Toward Substance Use and Substance Use Disorders
• Changing Perspectives on Homelessness
• New Approaches to Addressing Violence
While these topics will be prioritized, all public health-related submissions are welcome.
Symposium Format
The event will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, featuring multiple rounds of short presentations (5 to 10 minutes each, depending on the number of speakers). Audience members will have the opportunity to engage with speakers during roundtable-style discussions.
Speakers will be given 5 to 10 minutes to briefly describe their program. After a number of presentations, the presenters will be assigned to a table where they can discuss their programs in more detail. Attendees will be free to circulate among these tables to explore in more detail the various programs that interest them. Proposals describing their program for consideration can be submitted to https://forms.office.com/r/4KmxyChedC.
