Join us Wednesday, April 27th from 5:30-7:00 for our hybrid Public Health Grand Rounds, which can be attended in person at The College of Physicians or streamed live on Zoom.  All are invited to join us for a reception with light refreshments following the program.

About the Topic:

Education continues to be strongly linked with the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.  Formal education has been correlated with life expectancy, healthy behaviors, and morbidity, while also critical in shaping opportunities for income and employment.  Disparities in access and quality of education have been shown and continue to widen across our city and state. This panel of multidisciplinary experts will discuss funding structures, resource allocation, and inequities in our educational systems, from K-12 to higher education in our region and will explore the impact on public health.
