Thank you for your interest in this event. Unfortunately it is now SOLD OUT.

Come one, come all to Marie Curie’s Radiant Ball!

You’re invited to attend the Radiant Ball, a luminous celebration that spotlights the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and one of the most important figures in the history of medicine. Don your most glam outfit and enjoy rarely-seen collection items, and dance to jazz-age grooves by Drew Nugent & the Midnight Society as we transform our historic building into a dazzling affair!

When Marie Curie visited the U.S. for the first time in 1921, she visited The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, home of the Mütter Museum and Historical Medical Library, to discuss the use of radium in her work and present her piezo-electric measurement device. Celebrate this life-saving advancement in science in our historic Mitchell Hall while learning about the nuanced history of medical technology and its impacts today.

Your ticket includes:

● A shimmering cocktail (1 complimentary drink ticket; additional beverages for purchase)

● Live performance by Drew Nugent & the Midnight Society

● Light bites

● Rarely seen Museum and Library collection items
